Manufacturer Suggested Product Care

Floto leather care:
Proper care is recommended to ensure the long life of your Floto bag. Lexol makes a high quality leather cleaner and conditioner that can be used annually to keep your bag in optimal condition. If you prefer a weathered, "bomber jacket" look then avoid using cleaner and conditioner. This will allow your Floto bag to break in naturally and take on its own characteristics. Do not use leather cleaner and conditioner on Suede, simply clean with a damp sponge.
Most fresh stains can be cleaned up quickly with a damp paper towel. Tougher stains from oil and grease can be lifted by grinding ordinary blackboard chalk, sprinkling the area, and leaving the powder on for a twenty-four hour period. Resist the urge to rub the powder in after sufficient time has passed - instead use a leather care brush (or old toothbrush) to remove the powder.
New leather smell can be sensitive to some noses. Our leather hides are tanned using all natural vegetable dyes and require less time to "gas off" then inferior leather products - but if you are particularly sensitive to new leather smell we recommend using Lexol cleaner and conditioner to speed up the process. You can repeat this process as necessary and set it under a fan as well to air out.
